Hotel General Manager – UPPER PENINSULA
$75,000–$90,000 | Three Weeks of PTO
We’re seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead an established property in beautiful Upper Peninsula, Michigan. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to create an exceptional guest experience, develop a strong team, and run a profitable hotel.
You’ll oversee the entire operation—from front desk and housekeeping to maintenance, food and beverage, sales, and financial performance. If you’re a visible, engaged leader who leads from the floor instead of the office, this could be an excellent fit.
Compensation & Benefits

What You’ll Do
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and team members
- Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance
- Maintain high standards for guest service, cleanliness, and property appearance
- Manage budgets, labor costs, revenue, and overall profitability
- Participate in sales strategy, yield management, and revenue-growth initiatives
- Partner with the sales team to attract group business and extended-stay guests
- Conduct property inspections, audits, and operational evaluations
- Resolve guest and employee concerns calmly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with safety, HR, brand, and operational standards
- Step in wherever needed to keep the property running smoothly
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of hotel leadership experience; AGM or GM experience preferred
- Experience leading teams across multiple hotel departments
- Strong understanding of P&L management, labor control, revenue, and guest satisfaction metrics
- Working knowledge of hotel management systems and reporting tools
- Confident, approachable leadership style
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
