Resort Food & Beverage General Manager – Virginia

A well-established, year-round mountain resort is seeking an experienced professional to lead its flagship full-service restaurant. Resort Food & Beverage General Manager Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary of $70K (potential to increase)

Resort Food & Beverage General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive food and beverage management experience (multi-unit background preferred)
  • Proven track record as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in full-service dining
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of ABC regulations and beverage alcohol compliance
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Full availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Active and comfortable covering a large, varied resort property

Resort Food & Beverage General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • ServSafe certification
  • Experience interpreting and adjusting operations based on P&L and labor reports
  • Visionary mindset with a passion for developing new guest programs and resort concepts
  • Fun, outgoing personality and strong cultural fit with a tight-knit, hardworking team
  • Affinity for mountain living and seasonal resort communities

Resort Food & Beverage General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor front-of-house team to deliver outstanding guest service
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and safe dining experience
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to maintain seamless communication and high standards
  • Manage scheduling, staffing plans, and recruitment for seasonal needs
  • Monitor KPIs including guest satisfaction, revenue, inventory, and labor costs
  • Support creative beverage programming, special events, and seasonal activations
  • Uphold company culture through ongoing feedback, recognition, and team development
