Personal Insurance Department Manager
Location: Remote (Within a 1-hour commute of the Westchester County office; in-office approx. once per month)
Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 Base Salary + Commission (30% New / 20% Renewal on self-generated business) + Annual Bonuses

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Personal Insurance Department Manager to oversee our Personal Lines book. In this hybrid leadership and service based role, you will manage a dedicated team of Personal Lines Account Managers while remaining directly engaged with our top-tier clients. There is no individual book to maintain; your focus is on department leadership, high-level service, and managing selective inbound new business.
Daily Responsibilities Breakdown
- 50% High Net Worth Servicing: Act as the primary touchpoint for our premier, complex accounts (average premiums of $10k–$15k, ranging up to $250k).
- 25% People Management: Lead, mentor, and support experienced HNW Personal Lines Account Managers.
- 25% Inbound New Business: Field and quote warm inbound new business and handle strategic renewals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is strictly required.
- Background: Must come from an Independent Agency environment
- HNW Carrier Experience: Proven expertise working with high-net-worth carriers, such as Chubb, AIG/PCS, Cincinnati Insurance, Berkley One, Pure, etc…
- Commute: Must reside within a 1-hour driving radius of the Westchester County, NY office for occasional team collaboration (typically once per month).
