Requirements & Qualifications
- California State Bar membership or eligibility to obtain (required for all roles)
- For midlevel Commercial Litigation Associate: minimum 3 years of commercial litigation experience
- For senior Commercial Litigation Associate: minimum 6 years of litigation experience, with strong skills in strategy, motion practice, discovery, and depositions
- For Employment Litigation Associate (Class Action Focus): minimum 5 years of employment litigation experience, including class action/PAGA matters
- For Media Litigation Associate: 4–6 years of relevant litigation experience
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with consumer class actions, complex business litigation, and trademark/trade secret disputes (Commercial Litigation)
- Significant wage-and-hour class action and PAGA experience (Employment Litigation)
- First Amendment, Section 230, or regulatory enforcement experience for media and technology clients (Media Litigation)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of active litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Engage directly with national and regional clients, providing hands-on counsel and clear communication
- Handle complex class action, PAGA, and employment litigation issues as part of a specialized team
- Advise clients on evolving legal issues within commercial, employment, and First Amendment law
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop creative, client-centric solutions on high-stakes matters
