Application Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical preferred
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Fluency and strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Experience with electro-mechanical products
- Familiarity with National Electric Code and UL test standards
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team
Application Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email and phone regarding product selection, application support, and problem resolution
- Provide technical support for internal and external customers, including our subsidiary in Mexico
- Quote custom engineered products based on core device offerings
- Travel to customer sites to inspect applications and address installation issues
- Assist in certification and new product development projects as needed
- Monitor the engineering department’s inbox to ensure timely support
