Private Chef Requirements & Qualifications

  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Passion for health-conscious cooking and clean eating
  • Proven ability to design and execute menu programs for multiple households (main house, guest house, and surrounding residences)
  • MUST have strong ordering, purchasing, and inventory management skills
  • Commitment to sourcing all ingredients locally- no supermarkets – through farms, vendors, and the home's garden
  • Knowledge of sustainable cooking and organic gardening
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to community engagement

Private Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience creating seasonal menus tailored to dietary needs and preferences
  • Collaboration with local farmers and vendors for high-quality sourcing
  • Hands-on gardening skills, including cultivating vegetables, herbs, and fruits
  • Familiarity with organic gardening practices and plant health monitoring
  • Experience in community outreach or education initiatives
  • Understanding of the holistic benefits of living off the land
