A well-established, family-owned HVAC company is hiring an experienced HVAC Install Technician to join its growing team. HVAC Install Technician Benefits and Compensation

  • $24.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Typical hours: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

HVAC Install Technician Requirements & Qualifications

  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years installing residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems
  • Strong sheet metal fabrication and ductwork experience
  • Experience installing complete HVAC systems from start to finish
  • Startup and commissioning experience
  • Working knowledge of airflow, refrigerant charging, HVAC controls, and electrical connections
  • Ability to read installation specifications and manufacturer recommendations
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Must Haves

  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment
  • Fabricate, modify, and install ductwork as needed
  • Perform startup, commissioning, and operational testing of newly installed systems
  • Verify refrigerant charge, airflow, electrical connections, and overall system performance
  • Keep installation projects on schedule while maintaining quality workmanship
  • Complete commissioning reports and installation documentation accurately
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members throughout each project
  • Maintain clean, organized jobsites, vehicles, and equipment
  • Assist with training and supporting apprentice installers when needed

HVAC Install Technician Preferred Background & Skills

  • NATE Certification preferred, but not required
  • Experience installing heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, mini-splits, geothermal systems, and air handlers
  • Knowledge of zoning systems and indoor air quality products
  • Experience with duct design, airflow balancing, and HVAC commissioning
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Stable work history with a reputable HVAC contractor
  • Commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety
