Store Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Store Manager retail leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, payroll, and daily operations
  • Strong customer service background with a team-oriented leadership style
  • Stable work history and hands-on management approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Store Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in craft, hobby, or specialty retail environments
  • Knowledge of crafting materials is a plus, but not required
  • Inventory management or merchandising experience desirable
  • Community-focused mindset and ability to cultivate loyal customer relationships

Store Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure a clean, organized environment
  • Lead, train, and support store staff to maintain high service standards
  • Manage scheduling, attendance, and payroll functions
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while fostering repeat business
  • Promote sales growth by analyzing performance and implementing effective strategies
  • Uphold store safety standards and operational compliance
  • Support team cross-training to enhance efficiency and versatility
