Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical project management experience preferred
  • Experience managing hospital or healthcare construction projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction processes
  • Proven experience leading field teams and project staff
  • Proficiency in project management, scheduling, and budgeting software
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of electrical construction for hospital and healthcare facility projects
  • Supervise and direct Electrical Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and field teams
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Oversee procurement processes, subcontractor coordination, and material management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, NEC codes, and healthcare construction regulations
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, general contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide timely progress reports
  • Support workforce planning and productivity to ensure quality workmanship and on-time completion
