Principal Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical engineering across multiple product lines
Lead complex PCB design and electrical system architecture decisions
Design, test, and validate systems to meet EMI/EMC and regulatory standards
Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering team members
Contribute to long-term product strategy and innovation initiatives
Support troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement efforts

Principal Electrical Engineer Qualifications

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a product-based environment
Proven experience designing complex PCB systems
Strong understanding of EMI/EMC standards and testing processes
Experience working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production
Ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across teams
Experience in medical devices or regulated environments is a plus

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who wants to remain hands-on while having a meaningful impact on product direction and engineering standards.
