Food & Beverage Director Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field,
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing applications
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with financial operations, budgeting, labor controls, and forecasting
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of trust

Food & Beverage Director Preferred Background & Skills

  • Knowledge of local market competition and industry trends
  • Experience coordinating with multiple hotel departments
  • Familiarity with cost-control strategies and process optimization

Food & Beverage Director Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all food and beverage outlets, ensuring attentive, friendly, and efficient service
  • Oversee kitchen operations, outlet management, banquet services, and in-room dining
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of all service and kitchen areas
  • Guide culinary and service teams on menu development, pricing, and merchandising
  • Drive sales revenue, control costs, and improve overall profitability
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on growth, open communication, and team development
  • Build trust with guests and staff, upholding the organization’s reputation and standards
