Litigation Legal Assistant | Boutique Law Firm | Buckhead, Atlanta, GA

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established boutique litigation law firm in Buckhead seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to provide direct support to two partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys, managing complex litigation matters, and taking ownership of a busy legal desk.

The firm offers a collaborative, professional environment with an established team, strong internal processes, and a diverse litigation practice. You will receive direct cross-training and have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with experienced attorneys.

Unlike highly repetitive, form-driven legal environments, this position offers exposure to a variety of litigation matters requiring organization, independent judgment, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to two founding partners.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage electronic and physical litigation files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, and other litigation materials.
  • Assist with all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, e-discovery, court filings, and trial preparation.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, case deadlines, meetings, and client communications.
  • Monitor case progress and maintain accurate documentation and filing systems.
  • Assist with legal billing, invoice preparation, and accounting-related administrative tasks.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP, to organize and analyze information.
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and other parties.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Prior experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, Litigation Legal Secretary, or Litigation Paralegal.
  • Hands-on experience supporting attorneys in an active litigation practice.
  • Strong litigation document preparation, proofreading, and file management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with legal billing and related administrative processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience directly supporting law firm partners or senior litigation attorneys.
  • Experience with discovery, e-discovery, court filings, and trial preparation.
  • Background in commercial litigation, construction litigation, real estate litigation, or other complex civil litigation.
  • Experience managing substantial litigation files and coordinating multiple active matters.

What Makes This Opportunity Attractive?

  • Competitive Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 base salary.
  • Hybrid Flexibility: One remote workday per week after acclimation and ramp up.
  • Direct Partner Exposure: Work closely with two partners and become an integral part of their legal practice.
  • Diverse Litigation Experience: Gain exposure to commercial, construction, real estate-related, and other civil litigation matters.
  • Established Processes: Step into a well-organized practice with direct cross-training and support.
  • Professional Environment: Join a collaborative boutique firm that values accuracy, accountability, and long-term working relationships.
  • Long-Term Opportunity: Become a trusted member of an established legal team with strong continuity and succession planning.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, adaptable Litigation Legal Assistant who takes pride in producing accurate work, anticipating attorney needs, and keeping a busy litigation practice running smoothly.

You'll be successful if you are proactive, responsive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to adapt to established attorney preferences while bringing a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.

If you're an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity with a respected boutique law firm in Atlanta's Buckhead area, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.
