Cafe General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant
• Passion for hospitality and commitment to exceptional service
• Proven track record of meeting key performance indicators
• Strong financial skills, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
• Coaching and mentoring abilities to support team member development
• Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• DOH Accreditation and/or ServSafe Certification

Cafe General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafe operations to ensure smooth functioning
• Inspire and energize the team, creating a positive workplace culture
• Build authentic guest relationships to foster regular patronage
• Maintain quality assurance and ensure all service standards are met
• Manage store profitability by controlling sales, cost of goods, and labor expenses
• Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance reviews to aid team development
• Lead by example in Health & Safety compliance, including ServSafe standards
• Engage with the local community to uphold the company’s neighborhood value proposition
