Our client is a well-established provider of bookkeeping, accounting, and fractional CFO services, specializing in supporting home services businesses. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, and process management skills. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and other accounts monthly.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet accounts, including petty cash, payroll liabilities, and loans.
• Process and record client payroll.
• Complete month-end closing procedures and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Support tax compliance by gathering documentation and assisting with tax preparation and filing.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of full-cycle cash and accrual accounting experience.
• Experience managing accounting and bookkeeping for multi-entity and multi-location businesses.
• Knowledge of cost of goods sold (COGS) and related accounting practices.
• Prior experience supporting home services or trade-based businesses, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, or pest control.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with billable hours and time tracking.
• Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong transactional accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

AI & Technology Proficiency: Candidates should be comfortable using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support sound decision-making. The ability to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving processes, and follow ethical and responsible AI-use guidelines is essential.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly position equivalent to an annual salary of $73,000–$77,000.
