Area Manager – New York City

Area Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of multi-unit restaurant or hospitality leadership experience, ideally overseeing 4–7+ locations
- Experience in both full-service and fast-casual restaurant environments preferred
- Proven ability to manage P&L, labor costs, and operational KPIs to drive sales growth and profitability
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing General Managers and leadership teams
- Strong financial acumen, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for hospitality, guest engagement, and creating memorable experiences
- Ability to travel regularly between locations throughout the New York City market
Area Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple café locations, ensuring consistent service, quality, and brand standards
- Partner with General Managers to monitor financial performance, labor management, and operational KPIs
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, improve margins, and maximize operational efficiency
- Coach and mentor leadership teams to build a strong talent pipeline and promote internal career growth
- Foster an inclusive, positive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention
- Champion exceptional hospitality and implement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty
- Maintain operational standards for cleanliness, presentation, food quality, and overall guest experience
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and accessibility regulations
