Vice President (or Senior Vice President), Marketing & Digital Commerce

Position Summary

 

The VP/Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Digital Commerce is responsible for defining and executing the company's global marketing, brand, and digital commerce strategy while driving profitable revenue growth across all customer channels. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role serves as the executive steward of the company's brand portfolio, ensuring a seamless and consistent customer experience across every touchpoint; from brand strategy and product launches to ecommerce, digital marketing, merchandising, communications, social media, customer acquisition, and lifecycle marketing.

 

This leader is responsible for aligning marketing strategy with business objectives while overseeing the company's commercial marketing organization and global ecommerce business. Working in close partnership with Sales, Product, Customer Experience, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, and Data Analytics, the VP/SVP ensures that every customer interaction reflects a unified brand story while supporting revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term business success. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic vision, commercial acumen, operational excellence, and inspirational leadership to ensure Chef Works delivers a unified brand experience while driving sustainable growth across every customer channel.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Marketing, Brand Strategy & Customer Experience

Develop and lead the long-term marketing strategy for company and its portfolio of brands, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging, and brand standards across all customer-facing platforms. Champion a unified brand experience that strengthens customer engagement, supports commercial objectives, and reinforces the company's reputation as an industry leader. Partner closely with the Senior Director of Brand Development to ensure the long-term vision for the an new lifestyle brand integrates seamlessly within the broader brand portfolio while maintaining consistency across all customer touchpoints.

 

Digital Commerce & Revenue Growth

Own the global ecommerce strategy and performance across all direct-to-consumer channels, driving profitable revenue growth through customer acquisition, conversion optimization, merchandising, digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and customer retention. Establish annual revenue objectives, forecasting, and performance metrics while leveraging analytics and customer insights to identify new growth opportunities, improve return on investment, and enhance the overall digital customer experience.

 

Marketing Operations & Organizational Leadership

Provide executive leadership for the Marketing and Digital Commerce organizations while developing a high-performing, collaborative culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Oversee the Director of Marketing, Director of Ecommerce, Senior Director of Brand Development, and external agency partners to ensure consistent execution of marketing initiatives, product launches, digital campaigns, and customer communications that align with enterprise priorities.

 

Commercial Strategy, Analytics & Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with executive leadership to align marketing, ecommerce, product development, sales, customer experience, finance, and operations around shared business objectives. Utilize customer insights, digital analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics to guide strategic decisions, improve marketing effectiveness, optimize customer acquisition and retention, and identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth. Champion data-driven decision making while leveraging technology and AI to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and overall marketing performance.

 

Executive Leadership & Business Growth

Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to the company's strategic direction, annual planning process, organizational priorities, and long-term growth initiatives. Develop annual business plans, departmental budgets, and performance objectives while presenting strategic recommendations and business results to executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Continuously evaluate market trends, competitive positioning, emerging technologies, and customer needs to ensure companyremains an innovative leader within the industry.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Commerce, or a related field required; MBA preferred.

·       Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, brand management, digital commerce, or commercial strategy, including executive leadership responsibilities.

·       Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing organizations, ecommerce businesses, and brand growth initiatives within B2B, B2C, or omnichannel environments.

·       Experience presenting strategic initiatives, financial performance, and growth plans to executive leadership and Boards of Directors.

·       Proven success developing high-performing teams while driving measurable business growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·       Strong understanding of integrated marketing, ecommerce strategy, digital customer experience, brand management, merchandising, customer acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and commercial analytics.

·       Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into measurable marketing and ecommerce initiatives that drive revenue growth and customer engagement.

·       Exceptional leadership, communication, financial planning, and executive presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

·       Experience leveraging customer insights, analytics, technology, and AI to improve business performance, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

 

Travel Requirements

Approximately 25–35% domestic and occasional international travel is required to support customer visits, industry events, trade shows, executive leadership meetings, product launches, strategic planning sessions, vendor partnerships, and other business initiatives. Additional travel may be required based on business needs.

 

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment and requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and video conferencing technology is required. The position requires the ability to analyze reports, review digital marketing and ecommerce dashboards, develop presentations, and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, including marketing materials, trade show collateral, laptops, and other business equipment. Occasional travel by automobile and commercial airline is required.
