Regional Chef

Greater Boston Area | Confidential Restaurant Group

A growing full-service restaurant group is seeking a hands-on Regional Chef to oversee culinary execution and develop kitchen leadership across multiple New England locations.

Based in the Boston area, this role will support restaurants throughout the region, including Hartford, CT, and Burlington, VT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent execution of recipes, plating, portions, prep, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits and partner with Chefs and GMs to close performance gaps.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Chefs and Sous Chefs while building a strong internal leadership pipeline.
  • Work alongside restaurant teams during service to improve execution, efficiency, and shift leadership.
  • Teach and manage food cost, labor, inventory, waste, and variance performance.
  • Partner with the Area Director and VP of Culinary on operational priorities, systems, and process improvements.
  • Support menu rollouts and ensure consistent execution across all locations.
  • Provide hands-on support and fill in as a Chef when needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including 2+ years as a Chef in a high-volume scratch kitchen.
  • Multi-unit experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and promote culinary talent.
  • Strong understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen operations.
  • ServSafe Manager certification required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Restaurant365 or similar back-office experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region, including Boston, Hartford, and Burlington.
  • Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
