Production Analyst Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Direct experience in the food or CPG industry preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
  • Experience with demand planning and forecasting
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with complex data sets
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate across functions
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Production Analyst Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems

Production Analyst Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Create and publish manufacturing schedules for multiple facilities
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with co-packing partners
  • Review and approve all manufacturing invoices, analyzing reports and addressing discrepancies
  • Monitor manufacturing targets by facility, resolving overages or shortages promptly
  • Participate in regular supply chain meetings and provide actionable manufacturing data
  • Interact with logistics teams regarding finished goods pickups
  • Assist demand planning and procurement leadership with inventory forecasting and prioritization
  • Present manufacturing schedules to leadership for review prior to publication
  • Collaborate with supply chain analysts and warehouses to determine production priorities
  • Submit manufacturing purchase orders to co-packing partners
