Director of Facilities Benefits & Compensation

Director of Facilities Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in multi-unit restaurant or retail environments
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-site teams and vendors
- Deep technical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment
- EPA Certification required
- HVAC/Refrigeration certification or equivalent technical training required
- Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., ServiceChannel, Corrigo, EkoTrak)
- Strong skills in strategic planning, R&M cost management, and vendor negotiation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR screening
- Willing and able to travel 25–40%
Director of Facilities Preferred Background & Skills
- Background in organizations with $500M–$1B revenue and 200+ locations
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills — able to connect authentically with all roles from frontline staff to C-suite
Director of Facilities Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of 19+ facility coaches and technicians
- Oversee maintenance for 200+ restaurant locations, balancing in-house and outsourced models
- Drive cost-effective, efficient R&M operations and strategies
- Analyze data to improve asset performance and reduce downtime
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements
- Ensure compliance with mechanical, state, and federal codes
- Foster a positive, growth-oriented culture across all teams
