Supply Planning Manager
Location: York, PA or Erie, PA

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Supply Planning Manager to lead integrated supply planning activities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position will oversee production scheduling, material planning, procurement coordination, sourcing strategies, inventory management, and demand planning to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans aligned with customer demand and inventory objectives.
- Create and manage master production schedules based on demand forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and inventory targets.
- Monitor raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory.
- Establish safety stock levels, reorder points, and planning parameters.
- Lead production scheduling across manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate production priorities with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.
- Balance production efficiency and customer service while minimizing downtime and changeovers.
- Monitor plant capacity and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions and capacity constraints.
- Ensure timely availability of ingredients, packaging materials, and indirect supplies.
- Support supplier selection, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance initiatives.
- Lead Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and translate production schedules into material requirements.
- Identify and resolve material shortages, delivery delays, and supply constraints.
- Lead demand planning and monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve forecasting and supply planning.
- Analyze forecast accuracy, seasonality, promotions, customer trends, and supply risks.
- Support new product launches, product transitions, and discontinuations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, planning accuracy, operational efficiency, waste reduction, and supply chain performance.
- Mentor and develop planning team members while promoting accountability and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience within food manufacturing, CPG, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, sourcing, and demand planning.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as Parity, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel and supply chain analytics skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional planning processes and S&OP activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS/ASCM certification, including CPIM or CSCP.
- Experience with food manufacturing, ingredient supply chains, and shelf-life management.
- Understanding of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring planning teams.
