Inventory Control Manager

This is a hands-on leadership role offering direct ownership of inventory accuracy across multiple locations. You will be actively involved on the floor daily, counting product, verifying orders before shipment, resolving discrepancies in real time, and collaborating closely with the remote accounting team to ensure inventory accuracy impacts financial reporting positively.

Inventory Control Manager Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary up to $120,000
  • Direct influence in a correction hire aimed at elevating inventory control standards
  • Exposure to a multi-facility footprint with headquarters visibility

Inventory Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on inventory control experience in food, beverage, or shelf-stable consumer goods manufacturing or distribution
  • Proven expertise in managing cycle counts, scanner-based location tracking, and resolving discrepancies at the source
  • Strong ERP background, with NetSuite strongly preferred; comparable ERP systems considered if skills are demonstrably strong
  • Experience collaborating closely with accounting to understand inventory movement effects on financial reporting
  • Comfortable managing inventory in drive-in racking environments
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and off hours as business needs require
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly improve inventory control processes without on-the-job fundamental training

Inventory Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of inventory accuracy across multiple sites through physical counts and product verification
  • Lead cycle counting programs and address discrepancies at their source, including mismatched picks
  • Coordinate with accounting teams on inventory adjustments and related financial reporting
  • Supervise and guide control clerks and counting staff, making senior-level decisions as needed
  • Travel regularly between facilities, including outside warehouses, to verify inventory
  • Identify and correct process gaps, bringing outside best practices rather than continuing current methods

This role suits a proactive professional who can confidently take charge immediately and ensure inventory accuracy without requiring fundamental training.
