Trading Operations Specialist (Remote)

Position Overview

The Trading Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting investment management operations by executing trading activities, maintaining account accuracy, and ensuring efficient portfolio implementation. This role partners closely with portfolio managers, traders, investment professionals, and custodians to support a best-in-class client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support daily trading operations and portfolio implementation.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and maintain account accuracy while ensuring timely reporting.
  • Assist with model updates, tax-loss harvesting, and firm-wide portfolio rebalancing.
  • Coordinate with investment teams and trading partners to implement investment strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with custodians and other key operational partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve trading processes and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current on market developments and regulatory changes impacting trading operations.
  • Resolve trading-related issues promptly and accurately.
  • Assist clients with complex requests involving IRA transactions, cost basis, and money movement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on managed accounts, brokerage transactions, and account features.
  • Support special projects and cross-functional investment operations initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in trading operations, investment operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial systems.
  • Knowledge of securities markets, trading operations, and industry regulations.
  • Experience with an order management system (Orion preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000–$95,000 base salary plus performance bonus.
