General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of General Manager experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, private club, or hospitality venue
  • Proven success leading high-volume operations while consistently achieving financial and operational goals
  • Strong P&L management experience, including labor, food and beverage cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing management and hourly teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on management style

Must Haves

  • Lead all aspects of the daily operation while maintaining exceptional service standards and financial performance
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and cultivating strong client and guest relationships
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop managers and team members while fostering a culture of accountability and hospitality
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure consistent execution, operational excellence, and an outstanding guest experience
  • Analyze business performance and implement strategies that improve profitability, efficiency, and overall operational success

  • Proven ability to balance operational leadership with business development responsibilities
