Sous Chef Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all daily kitchen operations
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the culinary team while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Maintain exceptional food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Implement and reinforce training programs and culinary standards
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and food cost management
  • Work alongside the team during service to ensure an efficient and seamless operation

Sous Chef Qualifications

  • Previous Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for quality, consistency, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Current ServSafe certification (or the ability to obtain upon hire)
