Coffee Roastery Manager

Roastery Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Passion and enthusiasm for specialty coffee
  • Minimum of 5 years of Management experience
  • Strong motivation with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Proven time management and task prioritization skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with hands-on activities
  • Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment requirements
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and digital organizational tools
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 pounds (weights over 50 pounds with assistance)
  • Ability to perceive the taste and smell of roasted coffee
  • Effective communication with employees, vendors, and clients
  • Ability work a flexible work schedule, inclsuiding weekends

Roastery Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee roasting, packaging, and shipping operations in a 1,500 sq ft roastery
  • Oversee all safety protocols and ensure product quality
  • Build and maintain relationships with grocery clients and specialty partners
  • Coordinate and participate in local events, primarily on weekends
  • Manage Green Bean sourcing and purchasing for the roastery
  • Develop and distribute specialized marketing kits to partners, content creators,
  • Hire, train staff, and evaluate performance.
