Senior Operations Manager

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Operations Manager to lead a field service operation supporting customers across Wichita and the surrounding rural territory. This is a senior-level position with broad responsibility for P&L performance, field operations, customer relationships, team development, safety, and growth.

We need an experienced operational leader who can manage a mobile workforce across a large geographic territory while driving strong financial and operational performance. This person should be equally comfortable reviewing the numbers, developing their team, solving customer issues, and spending time in the field.

Senior Operations Manager Responsibilities

• Own the operation's full P&L, including revenue, expenses, margins, budgeting, and profitability
• Lead field service operations and a mobile technician workforce across a large territory
• Recruit, coach, develop, and hold the team accountable for performance
• Oversee service delivery, scheduling, utilization, productivity, and customer responsiveness
• Build strong customer relationships and resolve escalated service issues
• Drive improvements in revenue, profitability, efficiency, and customer retention
• Partner with sales, parts, and other teams to support customers and business growth
• Maintain a visible presence in the field and a strong culture of safety and accountability

Senior Operations Manager Requirements

• Leadership experience in field service, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, fleet, mechanical services, or a similar environment
• Direct P&L ownership and accountability for financial performance
• Experience leading field technicians, mobile mechanics, or another dispersed workforce
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability
• Proven ability to develop teams and drive operational performance
• Strong customer-facing and relationship-management skills
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate independently and solve problems
• Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety requirements
