Quality Control Manager – Kings Bay, GA

A respected construction organization is seeking a dedicated quality control manager to lead quality assurance efforts on impactful commercial projects at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. This role offers the chance to work on-site with a collaborative team focused on safety, compliance, and high standards, while supporting the organization’s commitment to quality, integrity, and leadership.

Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years combined experience in commercial construction, including at least 2 years as a quality control manager
• Current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate required
• Level 1 EM 385-1-1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications (training available)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; familiarity with RMS/QCS and Viewpoint preferred
• Ability to perform physical site duties and travel as needed

Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Specialty inspection training, licenses, or certifications highly desired
• LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate (GA) certificate preferred
• Experience with government contracting and Department of Defense construction standards
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan and implement project-specific quality control programs ensuring compliance with contract requirements
• Conduct daily site inspections, document findings, and oversee corrective actions for non-conforming work
• Coordinate submittals, testing, and inspections with timely documentation
• Lead meetings and training sessions focused on quality control systems
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients to uphold quality standards and resolve issues
• Maintain as-built drawings, submittal registers, and quality control documentation
• Support safe jobsite practices in coordination with safety personnel
• Mentor project teams to promote continuous improvement and best practices
