NPI Quality Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or related role
  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and inspection methodologies
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
  • Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (such as Minitab, SPC)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred

NPI Quality Engineer Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience creating and maintaining FAI and PPAP documentation
  • Strong communication and initiative to drive projects forward
  • Positive attitude with a passion for process excellence

NPI Quality Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify CMM programs for machined components using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to define effective inspection strategies
  • Select appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setup for accurate, repeatable measurements
  • Review inspection and testing for product compliance with specifications and customer requirements
  • Perform MSA and gage R&R activities for measurement validation
  • Create and update quality documentation, including control plans, inspection plans, and FAI/PPAP records
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
