Vice President of Operations – New York, NY
A high-growth retail and food organization is seeking a visionary leader for a newly created Vice President of Operations role. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and scale end-to-end operations across multiple locations and a central production facility, and to partner directly with executive leadership to drive growth and operational excellence.

Vice President of Operations Requirements & Qualifications
- 15–20+ years of progressive operations leadership experience.
- Proven track record in multi-unit retail, grocery, or hospitality environments.
- Success scaling operations within high-growth or founder-led businesses.
- Strong experience in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management.
- Expertise in financial management, including P&L ownership and cost control.
- Data-driven, analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and team development abilities.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach with capacity to build systems from the ground up.
Vice President of Operations Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience supporting expansion and new market entry.
- Background in retail food production or commissary environments.
- Cross-functional collaboration, especially with Finance and Culinary teams.
Vice President of Operations Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across retail stores, production facilities, logistics, and supply chain.
- Build and implement scalable SOPs and core operational infrastructure.
- Oversee procurement, vendor management, and inventory optimization.
- Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Set and uphold high standards for product quality, food safety, and customer experience.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary operations team.
- Identify operational gaps and drive efficiency and scalability solutions.
- Support expansion initiatives, from new store openings to market growth.
- Ensure ongoing regulatory, safety, and operational compliance.
