Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents for estate planning, probate, and real estate transactions
  • Prepare and file probate and estate planning documents with courts and agencies
  • Coordinate and manage key deadlines to ensure timely filings
  • Use case management software (Clio) to track case progress and documentation
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding items for active matters
  • Contribute ideas to improve legal workflows and internal processes

Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of current experience in estate planning or probate
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Clear and professional communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfort with legal practice management software (Clio experience is a plus)

Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with title, settlement, or mortgage services
  • Background in office administration or client-facing legal work
  • Notary public or paralegal certification
