Associate Attorney | Civil Litigation (Worthington, OH)

A growing, litigation-focused law firm in the Worthington, Ohio area is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to gain hands-on experience, direct client exposure, and meaningful courtroom involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Support all phases of civil litigation from case intake through resolution or trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
• Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis
• Communicate directly with clients and provide case updates
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and negotiations

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Barred in Ohio
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Must Haves (Day-to-Day Impact):

• Ability to draft high-quality legal documents with minimal oversight
• Confidence communicating with clients and opposing counsel
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple active cases
• Willingness to take initiative and handle increasing responsibility

Preferred Background & Skills:

• 1–3+ years of litigation experience
• Exposure to civil litigation, business disputes, or real estate matters
• Courtroom, deposition, or mediation experience (even if limited)
• Interest in developing into a well-rounded trial attorney
