Financial Advisor – Long Island, NY

A unique succession opportunity is available with a respected independent wealth management firm that offers true operational control, open architecture, and the chance to build real enterprise value. As a senior advisor approaches retirement in the next 2–4 years, you will have the rare chance to transition their established client book and purchase equity—allowing you to own, grow, and eventually sell a substantial asset rather than just generate revenue for another organization. No existing book is required.

Financial Advisor Benefits & Compensation

  • Competitive compensation package, including base salary and bonus.
  • Access to a large, established client book for immediate impact and revenue generation.
  • Opportunities for future equity ownership in the business.
  • High payout structure providing greater earning potential as you grow your book.
  • Infrastructure and support for scaling your practice.
  • Operational control with open architecture—freedom to serve clients in their best interest.

Financial Advisor Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a financial advisor, financial planner, or life insurance agent.
  • Active FINRA Series 6/7, Series 66 (or equivalent), and health and life licenses required.
  • CFP® or similar credentials strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with investment products, financial planning software (such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro), and CRM platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build trusted client relationships.

Financial Advisor Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with a portfolio of existing clients, adapting financial plans as needs and markets evolve.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including portfolio reviews, retirement planning, tax strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement customized financial plans that leverage firm resources to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with advisory colleagues on complex cases and share best practices to enhance team service delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished advisor looking to accelerate their impact, autonomy, and long-term rewards within an entrepreneurial, client-focused environment.
