Senior Data Engineer-Hybrid 3 days onsite

Location: Plano, Texas (near Highway 121 & Dallas North Tollway)

A fast-growing and highly successful consumer financial services company based in Plano, TX, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding Corporate Reporting & Analytics team. We're seeking a driven individual with a passion for data engineering, analytics, and problem-solving.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Passionate about designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows.
Motivated to continuously learn new tools, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with SQL (preferably MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL).
Experience with Python and data modeling/data warehousing principles.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Superset, matplotlib, or Plotly.
Foundational knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining concepts.
Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Bonus: Experience with Salesforce or marketing data (preferred but not required).

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Develop high-quality, maintainable code to solve complex business problems.
Ensure data is well-structured, accurate, and ready for visualization and analysis.
Gather and integrate data from multiple sources.
Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and effectively.
Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and data tools that drive decision-making.
Promote best practices in data governance, quality, and performance.
Provide thorough and up-to-date documentation for data processes and systems.
