CDL A Lowbed Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauling

CDL A Lowbed Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauling Requirements & Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL (required)
Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
2+ years CDL A driving experience
Lowbed / lowboy hauling experience required
Experience hauling heavy construction equipment (excavators, loaders, etc.)
Strong knowledge of load securement and DOT regulations.
Ability to operate equipment for loading/unloading (preferred).
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

CDL A Lowbed Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauling Preferred Background & Skills

Background in construction or heavy equipment transportation.
Familiarity with local routes and job site deliveries.
Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers.

CDL A Lowbed Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauling Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Safely operate a CDL A truck with lowboy/lowbed trailer in all weather conditions.
Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy construction equipment.
Ensure equipment is properly tied down and secured, complying with all DOT regulations.
Transport equipment to and from job sites within a 20–30 mile radius.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, equipment reports, and communicate with dispatch regarding schedules.
Promptly report any mechanical or safety issues.
