Senior Fire Alarm Designer Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary of $85,000–$115,000, based on experience and qualifications

Senior Fire Alarm Designer Requirements & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience designing fire alarm systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and relevant design software
- Working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, the International Building Code, and local requirements
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and resolve design challenges
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with customers and project teams
Senior Fire Alarm Designer Responsibilities
- Develop detailed fire alarm and suppression system drawings, schematics, layouts, and specifications
- Perform field surveys and participate in project coordination meetings
- Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure designs meet project requirements and applicable codes
- Manage design projects from concept through completion, including permit preparation, submissions, and corrections
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, customers, and installation teams to address technical questions and design changes
- Stay current with evolving fire protection technology, codes, and standards
