Senior Warehouse Manager

An established and growing organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse and distribution operations. Senior Warehouse Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • At least 3 years managing warehouse teams in a high-volume environment
  • Proven ability to lead supervisors and large hourly teams
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and distribution
  • Experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory-management systems
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Senior Warehouse Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous-improvement methodologies
  • Experience managing automated warehouse or distribution-center operations
  • Forklift or material-handling certification
  • Experience with labor-management systems and KPI reporting

Senior Warehouse Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, fulfillment, shipping, and returns
  • Manage and develop supervisors, leads, hourly employees, and temporary staff
  • Establish performance expectations and monitor productivity, accuracy, attendance, and KPIs
  • Develop staffing plans and labor strategies to meet business needs
  • Oversee inventory control, cycle counting, and accuracy, resolving discrepancies and operational issues
  • Identify and implement improvements in layout, workflows, processes, and efficiency
  • Promote safety culture ensuring compliance with OSHA and safety requirements
  • Manage warehouse equipment and operating costs including labor and supplies
  • Utilize and improve warehouse management and inventory systems
  • Analyze operational data and provide reports and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment
