We are seeking an experienced hotel sales leader to direct the overall sales strategy for a high-volume, convention and group-focused resort. This individual will be responsible for maximizing revenue across group, convention, corporate, leisure, and catering segments while developing and leading a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate brings a strategic, hands-on approach to business development, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to grow revenue and market share within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the resort's overall sales strategy, annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and revenue initiatives
  • Drive new business through proactive sales efforts, networking, account development, industry relationships, trade shows, and client events
  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, corporate clients, DMCs, CVBs, and convention partners
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team while establishing revenue goals, performance expectations, and strategies to improve conversion
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, group mix, and overall revenue performance
  • Oversee the group sales pipeline, account strategy, contracts, negotiations, and conversion of prospective business
  • Collaborate with Catering, Events, Operations, and F&B to ensure seamless execution and an exceptional experience for groups and convention clients
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, sales performance, and key metrics to identify opportunities for additional revenue and market-share growth
  • Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, client meetings, sales missions, and community functions
  • Ensure the sales organization maintains a high level of client service and relationship management while consistently working toward or exceeding revenue objectives

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven Director of Sales experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or convention-focused property
  • Strong background across group, convention, corporate, and catering sales
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams, developing new business, and driving revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue strategy, forecasting, ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, group mix, and market positioning
  • Established ability to develop relationships with meeting planners, corporate accounts, DMCs, CVBs, and other hospitality industry partners
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic and results-oriented with the ability to balance high-level sales leadership with hands-on involvement in key accounts and business development
