Director of Operations – High-Volume Fast Food Restaurants
Join a family-owned and operated business that has proudly served its customers for nearly 40 years! We are seeking a collaborative, team-oriented Director of Operations to lead our dedicated team, oversee multi-unit restaurant operations, and help scale the business for future growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who values teamwork, develops people, and drives operational excellence in a high-volume, 24-hour restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations across multiple high-volume quick-service restaurant locations, ensuring consistent execution of operating standards, food quality, cleanliness, and guest service.
- Monitor sales, labor costs, food costs, profitability, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, control expenses, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular restaurant visits to evaluate performance, coach leadership teams, and ensure operational standards are maintained.
- Lead, mentor, and hold General Managers and other restaurant leaders accountable for operational and financial results.
- Support recruitment, training, employee retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Maintain effective staffing, equipment readiness, and operational consistency across all shifts, including overnight operations.
- Analyze performance reports, identify challenges, and implement action plans to improve results across locations.
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership to establish business goals, communicate results, and execute growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing multiple high-volume quick-service, fast-food, or comparable restaurant locations.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing General Managers and multi-unit leadership teams.
- Strong financial management skills, including P&L accountability, budgeting, labor management, food cost control, and profitability improvement.
- Thorough understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, guest service, inventory management, and quality standards.
- Experience using financial reports and operational metrics to drive performance and business decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented leadership style with a hands-on approach to developing people and improving operations.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to support 24-hour restaurant operations, including overnight, weekend, and holiday needs as required.
- Willingness to travel regularly between assigned restaurant locations.
