A prestigious coastal restaurant and inn in Northern California is seeking a Sommelier to join its acclaimed hospitality team. The property features a world-class wine program with more than 1,600 selections, with particular depth in Burgundy, Champagne, Italy, Germany, and California. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to advance their career in fine dining and continue pursuing advanced wine education and certification.
Benefits & Compensation
- $17–$18/hour plus tips (40 hours a week plus some overtime)
- Estimated weekly tips of approximately $1,750
- Estimated total annual compensation $128,000

Requirements & Qualifications
- Fine dining serving or sommelier experience
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties and regions
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment
- Passion for hospitality and wine
- Must be available to work weekends
Preferred Background & Skills
- Certified Sommelier or actively pursuing certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers
- Management or leadership experience
- Experience with an extensive or high-end wine program
- Interest in pursuing advanced sommelier certifications
- Desire to build a long-term career in wine and beverage hospitality
