Join a fast-growing infrastructure developer shaping the future of utility-scale power and energy projects. We're seeking a Development Engineer to lead technical development from early-stage feasibility through 30% design, partnering with development, finance, legal, and EPC teams to advance projects into execution.
What You'll Do
- Lead early-stage engineering and system design for utility-scale power infrastructure projects.
- Perform site feasibility studies, energy modeling, conceptual layouts, and cost estimating.
- Support interconnection, permitting, and technical due diligence activities.
- Manage engineering consultants and coordinate with EPC partners through project handoff.
- Provide technical expertise for project development, acquisitions, financing, and commercial discussions.
- Develop engineering standards, templates, and best practices across the project portfolio.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Systems, or related engineering field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in utility-scale renewable energy, BESS, solar PV, or power infrastructure.
- Experience with project developers, EPC contractors, or owner-operators.
- Knowledge of interconnection processes, ISO/RTO requirements, and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
- PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
Compensation
- $110,000–$140,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
