Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Authorized to work in the United States; must be a U.S. citizen
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience supporting production lines and technical troubleshooting

Manufacturing Engineer Preferred Background & Skills

  • CAD experience
  • Previous production supervision experience
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, especially 5 years or more
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality systems and documentation
  • Project management and stakeholder influencing skills

Manufacturing Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Optimize production manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, labor, and delivery
  • Provide technical support to production lines, including tooling, labor standards, and process documentation
  • Utilize root cause analysis, SPC, PFMEA, and control plans to solve manufacturing challenges
  • Collaborate with teams to implement engineering changes with minimal impact to operations
  • Review product design changes to assess and address manufacturing impact
  • Develop and support business cases for capital expenditures
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation within quality system standards
  • Foster teamwork, build positive relationships, and respond to production or customer needs
