Well established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its Houston office. This role focuses on maritime defense matters, offering the opportunity to work on complex litigation involving offshore, vessel-related, and admiralty claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and support maritime and civil litigation matters
  • Draft and argue:
    • Motions
    • Pleadings
    • Legal memoranda
  • Conduct depositions and manage discovery
  • Assist with case strategy and trial preparation
  • Work with clients in the maritime and offshore industries

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience with maritime or admiralty law matters
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage cases with increasing independence
