Kitchen Manager – Philadelphia, PA
A busy, high-volume café seeks a skilled kitchen manager to join its growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role offering the chance to make a direct impact on food quality, team development, and guest experience in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of kitchen or back-of-house leadership experience
- Strong understanding of inventory management, scheduling, and cost controls
- Proven ability to train, coach, and develop kitchen teams
- Solid knowledge of Department of Health regulations and food safety practices
- Highly organized with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience managing BOH operations in a café or similar casual dining environment
Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and schedule back-of-house team members for smooth operations
- Oversee daily prep and service execution, ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs
- Monitor food cost, labor, and waste, implementing improvements as needed
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health compliance at all times
- Analyze sales and labor data to drive operational efficiencies
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and the kitchen is always guest-ready
