About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial electrical projects in the Dallas market, including K–12 and higher education facilities, and ground-up or major renovation projects typically in the 5M–10M electrical range. The Senior Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for field leadership, safety, quality, schedule, and coordination with both the general contractor and internal project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change directives; ensure installations comply with NEC, local codes, and project standards.

  • Oversee layout, installation, and commissioning of power distribution, lighting, branch circuitry, gear, site utilities, and related systems for large commercial facilities.
  • Assist with short-interval and look-ahead scheduling, material planning, and delivery coordination to keep crews productive and minimize delays.
  • Track field progress, document as-builts, and provide timely updates and reports to the project manager on schedule, manpower, issues, and potential changes.
  • Support QA/QC efforts by inspecting work in place, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring timely corrections.
  • Participate in constructability reviews, preconstruction planning, and project turnover/warranty processes.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of commercial electrical construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in a lead superintendent or general superintendent capacity.
  • Proven track record managing large commercial projects in the 5M–10M electrical range; school/education project experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and commercial construction means and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop field teams, manage conflict, and maintain a professional jobsite.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with GCs, owners, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Proficient with basic project tools (email, spreadsheets, field management software, digital plans).
  • Current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred (or ability/willingness to obtain).
  • OSHA 30 and other relevant safety certifications a plus.
