Sales Manager – Industrial Automation & Custom Equipment Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–10 outside sales professionals within a defined regional territory
- Personally prospect, open, and close new business through cold, in-person outreach and on-site discovery
- Partner with customers to understand operations and position custom, engineered solutions
- Participate directly in solution development, presentations, and complex financial negotiations
- Manage long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Set expectations for activity, pipeline management, and sales execution through example
Sales Manager – Industrial Automation & Custom Equipment Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in complex B2B sales, preferably within industrial, automation, or technical environments
- Proven success selling non-commoditized, custom or engineered solutions with long sales cycles
- Strong hunter mentality with comfort in cold calling and face-to-face prospecting
- Demonstrated leadership or player-coach experience
- Solid business and financial acumen with negotiation experience
- Willingness to work in-office, travel locally, and overnight approximately 15% of the time
