Financial Controller – Remote (East Coast)

Financial Controller Requirements & Qualifications
- CPA Required
- Based on the East Coast
- Significant international accounting experience (US/UK)
- Background in manufacturing or lab automation environments
- Experience with multiple legal entities and multi-currency accounting (Euros, Pounds, US Dollars)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, Cetec ERP, Sage ERP) and advanced Excel skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2–3 years in a controller or senior finance role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance
Financial Controller Preferred Background & Skills
- Familiarity with multi-company integrations and enterprise transitions (EIN consolidations)
- Experience leading finance teams in a restart, startup, or rapid-growth environment
- Industry exposure to life sciences, automation, or scaled manufacturing
- Strong cross-time-zone and remote team collaboration skills
Financial Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations for multiple US and UK entities, overseeing accounting, reporting, and internal controls
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, consolidations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee intercompany transactions, variance analysis, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance (US and UK)
- Own and administer ERP system integrations, supporting data consistency and process improvements
- Develop, manage, and analyze annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and liquidity planning
- Partner with leadership to inform business planning, risk mitigation, and capital-raising efforts
- Mentor and support accounting staff while fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
