HVAC Service Technician Requirements & Qualifications:
- HVAC certification/license or equivalent work experience required
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality workmanship
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Prior experience with diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems (furnaces, A/C units, heat pumps, ventilation)
- Experience with preventive maintenance and seasonal tune-ups
- Familiarity with smart thermostats and system enhancements
- Comfortably educating customers on system care, upgrades, and long-term reliability
