General Manager – East Hampton, NY

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in upscale or fine dining
- Minimum 2 years in a General Manager or multi-manager leadership position
- Manager-level Food Handler Certification
- Strong knowledge of FOH/BOH operations, labor law compliance, and cost controls
- Experience with Toast, Tripleseat, Resy, and payroll systems (Accupay preferred)
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in NYC hospitality, ideally high-end or intimate dining
- Familiarity with East Hampton clientele and seasonal service expectations
- Charismatic, polished, and confident floor presence
- Highly organized; able to multitask and lead under pressure
- Discreet, professional, and hospitality-driven with high emotional intelligence
- Passion for crafting memorable, personalized guest interactions
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop venue leadership, including Assistant General Managers and department heads
- Partner with ownership and corporate operations on strategy and compliance
- Oversee daily operations, scheduling, labor management, and financial controls
- Maintain service excellence while driving continuous improvement and profitability
- Address complex guest concerns with a solutions-oriented, hospitality-first mindset
- Serve as escalation point for sensitive employee matters and ensure proper HR alignment
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all safety, labor, and cleanliness standards
- Oversee event execution from intake through completion to ensure seamless operations
- Remain hands-on and present during peak periods, stepping into operational roles as needed
