Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – Site / Civil Engineering

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join a growing, highly collaborative multidisciplinary firm led by licensed professionals in civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture. The firm is known for delivering innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions, supported by advanced design and surveying technologies and a strong commitment to excellence.
This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer to take full ownership of complex site/civil projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and play a meaningful role in the firm’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and managerial leadership for site/civil projects from initial concept through construction and closeout
- Serve as Engineer of Record, delivering senior-level technical oversight, quality control, and constructability reviews
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including project engineers, landscape architects, consultants, and subconsultants
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering reports, site plans, specifications, and complex design calculations
- Oversee site inspections, construction administration, and field coordination to ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and standards
- Manage permitting processes and represent projects before reviewing agencies and regulatory authorities
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff while contributing to firm-wide technical standards and best practices
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 7–15 years of progressive site/civil engineering experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State, or eligibility to obtain NY licensure (relocation assistance available)
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD
- Proven ability to lead projects, interface with clients and regulatory agencies, and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative leadership style
