Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a restaurant manager or supervisory role
- No more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years
- Knowledge of current labor laws, alcohol beverage regulations, and state wage standards
- Up-to-date ServSafe, Choke Saver, and Tips certifications
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and staff training
- Strong understanding of customer service and hospitality standards
Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Experience conducting audits and corrective actions
- Familiarity with hiring, onboarding, and progressive discipline processes
Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct all FOH employees to deliver an outstanding dining experience every shift
- Monitor and uphold food, beverage, and service standards at all times
- Manage scheduling, FOH staffing, and payroll processes efficiently
- Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing staff education
- Ensure adherence to purchasing and labor budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Conduct regular audits—tables, tickets, employee files—and act on findings
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing training sessions
- Participate in manager meetings and handle performance reviews
